Street 1 (25)
A new black and white series from my Ha Noi neighborhood. Basic documentary work showing daily life. Laborers, trash collection, alleys, kids, and coal used for cooking outside. I remember men near a village in southern China with piles of pulverized coal. They'd form these individual units using basic wooden tools. After drying they'd be loaded onto a small belching refitted tractor with a flat bed and taken to the village. Here they are delivered to homes by bike. They are lit and placed in a steel cylinder. Pots and pans are placed on top. A great source of pollution. -
Street 2 (25)
Two friendly men invite me for tea. Street life, people - old young and in between, shadows, light, narrow alleys, a nun watches television, huge stones used in a construction project. -
Street 3 (21)
Get your ears cleaned. Kids say hello. People, shadows, discarded furniture, grilling meat, a bride, alleys, street documentary. -
Street 4 (25)
Demolished homes, brick recovery, home renovations, workers, laborers, kids, street. Temple ladder, leaves, tree, wall. -
Street 5 (24)
Street talk, labor, life, people.
